A WITNESS TO WAR
Here's a link to a video I did for "A WITNESS TO WAR"
"A WITNESS TO WAR" was a graphic design show held in the spacelab at IUS, Fall 2010. I helped set up the show, did an installation with video projection, designed a peace poster, and filmed the event. This is the video from the opening.

IN THE CUT
Here's a link to a promo for a skate video I'm filming with Marshall Nicholson called "In the Cut". It's should be finished late spring/early summer 2011.
BARDSTOWN
This was my favorite shot from a wedding I did photo/video for along with Will Hartsock and JW Boone. It was in Bardstown, Kentucky this past summer at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral, which is a registered national landmark.
EXPERIENCE
Taking photos is a great way to learn, before I shot these I knew nothing about ball room dancing. It's nice to gain experience from shooting a new subject.
DANCE
These are some dance photos I took recently for Amy who is a dance instructor and is using the photos for her syllabus. I kept the color for the dancers to keep the focus on their form as well as adding sharpness to the dancers. I used a high pass filter on an overlay layer to sharpen them, and masked out the background.
48HOUR FILM FESTIVAL
Here's a link to a short film I edited last summer for a 48hour film festival in Louisville. The genre our team drew was horror.

PROGRESS
Here's the beginning of the first drawing in my new life-size series with the final semester drawing for comparison.
2011
Is starting off great, got to get outside for some skating and photos in the good weather. Check out theprogram, it's a web magazine started here in Louisville that started a few years ago.
My favorite photo of the day was Ben's Back Tail, I got it right as the clouds were moving through creating an awesome background.

MOVEMENT
Over Winter Break I've done a lot of sorting out ideas in my sketchbook and I've decided to focus my art on the Beauty of Movement. I found that movement is a huge basis for all of my interests and in turn, can be used as a reflection of who I am as an individual. I've always been intrigued by video, as I explored the importance of movement it became evident that movement is vital to the visual appeal of video and film. The way a camera is handled during filming allows for an infinite amount of beautiful motion shots. Movement catches the eye and holds on tight.
I've started exploring movement in an area of one of my life's greatest loves : Skateboarding
In Skateboarding, Style Matters.
Where does style come from?
Movement.
It's the unique movement of tricks and the way the particular individual performs them, which creates beauty. Skateboarders are found in unique positions during tricks. I've decided to show theses not so often seen forms in motion, as a way of portraying the beauty of movement in Skateboarding.
The idea stemmed from a project in drawing class where we created a series. After proposing the idea of drawing skate photos, my professor suggested that I take a look at Robert Longo's "Men in the Cities".
I used the work as inspiration and my drawings improved through the series.
This was the final drawing of the series which was due at the end of the Fall 2010 Semester.
During the last critique Brian suggested that I continue the series as life size drawings. I stocked up on a ton of new drawing supplies and a 10 yard roll of paper. I also picked up a large 2B Graphite Chalk Stick which I'm using to sketch out the new drawing. I'm already very satisfied with working on the huge area, it's allowing to work much faster and improving the fluidity of my drawing.

DUST ON THE GROUND MUSIC VIDEO
Here's a vimeo link and youtube link to a music video I just finished for Field of Kings and their song
"Dust on the Ground"

This was the first music video I've worked on and I'm happy with the way it turned out. I got to be around for the recording of the song in the studio, it was interesting to see the process of everything coming together.
